DETAILED SYNOPSIS:
The year is 2013 and thanks to the elimination of the death penalty, prisons are overflowing worldwide, creating a problem for authorities. Their solution? Send them to work in TERRA NOVA, a remote arctic region.

Among those sent are Ivan Zhilin (Konstantin Lavronenko), who has been convicted of killing more than 20 men, and his psychopathic cellmate Nikolai (Andrei Feskov). They soon find themselves on a large transport ship, with prisoners equally as violent, and the two factions separate into the Russians vs. the Chechens.

When they arrive at TERRA NOVA, the authorities leave them with a pile of keys to unlock their chains. Soon enough, violence erupts, the food runs out, and it’s not long before the cannibalistic, mountain-man, Monkey (Pavel Sborshikov) creates his own prison where punishment is deadly.

Zhilin and Nikolai decide to go their own way. But as winter approaches, they realize they must head back to camp, even with the possibility of ending up on the menu.
