Long Synopsis

"American journalist Shania Dhaliwal (Nargis Fakhri, Spy) is sent to India to cover the colorful vibrancy of Indian weddings by her supervisor Claudia Burell (Candy Clark, Zodiac). As she attends these traditional ceremonies, she decides to delve more into the untold story of the life of hijras, a sect of transgender dancers who have been an integral part of Indian weddings for centuries. During her adventure, she falls in love with her government designated liaison officer Harbhajan Singh (Rajkummar Rao, Newton) who is working to keep her story censored.
